FAQ

Common questions about how OneLastWatch works.

How often is the leaving-soon data updated?

The backend checks for new data every 24 hours. The “updated” timestamp shown below the film count reflects when the data was last refreshed.

What does “All-time movies” mean?

It filters the leaving-soon list to only show films that appear on major critic-compiled all-time rankings — things like the top 1,000 films ever made. They're sorted by rank so the most acclaimed films appear first. See The Rankings Explained for the full story.

A film is ranked but I don't see it — why?

Matching is done by title and release year. If a film has an alternate title on the streaming service (e.g. a translated or localised name), it may not match. We're working on manual override support for known mismatches.

Is this affiliated with Letterboxd or any streaming service?

No. OneLastWatch is an independent project. Leaving-soon data is sourced from publicly available Letterboxd lists. We're not affiliated with Letterboxd, Netflix, the Criterion Channel, or any other service.

Is this affiliated with They Shoot Pictures, Don't They?

No. TSPDT ranking data is used with respect and full credit to its creator, Bill Georgaris. If you haven't visited theyshootpictures.com, you really should — it's a cinephile's bible.
